Where would I live?? HMMMM!!!

Good evening bloggers!! What a goregous day today wasn't!? As always I took a few minutes to think about what I would indulge in this post! Hmmmm.... The question of the week is where would I live if I didn't live here? Let's see, most of my class probably said some where exotic like the Bahamas or France. Me, on the other hand, I am going to throw a curve ball and say if I could live anywhere it would be a planet that only VIP contacts are allowed to enter! Guess who would be the president? Its my planet, so of course ME!! I would be the founder. No one would go hungry or homeless. There would be no violence and hatred. It would be love and happiness all day every day! We would have celebrations day in and day out! It would be a lovely planet. So what do you think? I bet you are saying wow she lives in a fantasy world. I say hey you have to do something to get your mind off the stresses of reality!

MEMORIES THAT MAKE YOU WARM AND FUZZY!!!

Good evening my blog family!! I hope everyone is having a blessed and fun day. It is time again to talk about another fun topic. Todays subject.... Childhood memories!
I have plenty and I mean plenty childhood memories. Most of my childhood thoughts are fun and unforgetable, but I don't have a lot of time so I will only share a few...
My most memorable is the summers. My brother, sister, mom and I would go to a place called Wisconsin Dells every year. We would stay at a different hotel each year. We would go to the biggest waterpark, Noah's Ark. We would ride every ride and play tons of games. We would have so much fun but our trip did not end there! We would load up and drive to Chicago so us kids could enjoy Six Flags, While my mama and whatever friend girl she would bring along with us would go to a mall called Gurnee Mills! Summers were a blast. Gosh I miss being a kid!

Another memory I have is Saturday mornings my mama would get me up, and we would make breakfast. Just me and mommy because my older siblings thought they were too big to do stuff like this! We would laugh and make pancakes from scratch (flour would be everywhere) and all the fixings! My mama was a blast and she made my childhood worth living for! We would dance and sing and put flour on each other faces!

Another memory I would like to share is the holidays. No matter what, my momma would have the best holidays planned. It started with Halloween, we always had the most creative costumes and we always had a bunch of candy! Next was Thanksgiving which we had a feast that could feed four villages! It was not one thing my mama did not cook! After dinner we would pile into the living room and decorate the most beautiful Christmas tree while listening to motown christmas! We got to stay up all night drink hot cocoa and watch the Bill Cosby marathon! OMG!! here we are at Christmas day! It was standing room only in our house because "Santa" (which I later on found was my mom) bought presents and more presents and more presents! That was always a good day!

This Christmas- Temptations

Finally my most heartfelt memory I have from my childhood is my momma singing in church! When I say my momma could sing, She could sing! She would bring the church to their knees! You could not sit still when she led a song. She would make you laugh, cry, shout and give God the praises with her voice! My favorite song she sung was Going up Yonder

I hope that my memories bring back some of your own! Have a blessed one my fellow bloggers!!!

Jamming Jams!!!

Good evening again bloggers! Looks like I got out of order with the posts. It looks like I have thought about the wrong post. Now this post is strictly off the top of my head. This will be easy because it is about something I use to clear my head from a stressful day! Are you ready? Can you guess? Wait, wait, wait! Okay its (drum roll please) MUSIC!!!!!!
What can I say about my favorite subject? It is like my stress reliever no matter how hard my day is. True statement, I can't function with out music.
My favorite genre of music is Gospel! You can not understand how uplifting and soul feeding gospel music is! When I feel like I can't stand no more I turn on my gospel. When I question life as I know it, I sing my gospel! When I have doubt in my mind guess what I play! Yep you guessed it!!! GOSPEL!! I will include some of my fave songs that will you can better understand what I mean when I say my heart is clear after a gospel session!
More than anything- Lamar Campbell
The High Place- Shekinah Glory
I Need More of You-Shekinah Glory
Be Blessed- Yolanda Simmons
God Blocked It- Kurt Carr
My testimony- Marvin Sapp
These are only a few that I listen to when I feel I am in a storm! I usually turn on my Pandora App on my phone, get my ear buds and let the music flow! I hope you listen to these songs and find some kind of inspiration!

Role Models.....

Good evening bloggers!!! I have thinking alot about this post due to the fact I have so many people that have inspired me. Since there are so many, I will do my fave two and tell you a little about each!
First and for most is my mom!! Lord rest her soul. She was a strong woman who never let her children use the words " I can't." She always smiled so you never knew what or if something was bothering her. My mom was determined to make sure her children were taken care of and there was nothing she would not do for us. My mom was very successful.
Even though she died when I was fifteen, she inspired me to reach my goals and when I reach them set higher ones. She taught me that kids are a blessing and to never give up on your seed. That's why my babies mean the world to me. She instilled me never hang your head, always keep your head high! I can still hear my mama saying you look so unattractive when you from frown so baby girl smile! My mommy Ms. Regina Macklin the true definition of role model!!
Since my mom was called home when I was young, I did not have anyone to teach me how to be a woman. Then I met Ms. Katie Payne! I met here when my oldest was just four months. She taught me what to do with a child because let me be the one to say I was CLUELESS! We still laugh at the times when I would be doing something and she would say "child what in the world are you doing?" She continued the teaching where my mama left off. Though I met her and I was 21, you would have thought I was her child because she made it clear no matter how old I was she the boss! Oh how I am so blessed to have her in my life!
